Ron was born April 27, 1958 in Nashville, TN and was raised in the
Hendersonville area. Ron's father, Tommy Fairchild, was a member of
the Oak Ridge Boys, playing piano for the legendary group.
Being raised around music it was just a matter of time before music
would take hold of Ron and forever change his life. In February of 1964, shortly after seeing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show,
Ron started playing the guitar at the age of 5.
Ron played for
Brenda Lee, Dottie West, Kenny Rogers and the Blackwood Brothers before he
joined the Mighty Oaks Band In December of 1979. Ron has spent over
27 years with the Oaks Ridge Boys as keyboard player and Band Director, as
well as filling in on guitar as needed.
