Christmas Without You
 |
|
On September 15, 2003 Daniel died from Sudden Infant
Death Syndrome; also known as SIDS. Daniel was only 8 months old.
We dedicate this album to OUR GRANDSON, Daniel Lee Rasnick II.
SIDS continues to be the number ONE cause of death in infants
between the ages of 1 month and 1 year. There are around 3,000 infants
every year that die from SIDS. To put those numbers into perspective,
that’s an average of 8 infants every day or another grieving family every 3
hours. As far as we’re concerned, that’s 3,000 too many!
We thought it would
be sad to let Daniel’s death fall by the wayside as just another SIDS
statistic, so we decided to take action and join in the search for answers,
with the hope that someday others won’t have to experience the pain of
losing a child or grandchild to SIDS. We ask you to join us in the search
for the cause and the cure for SIDS!

There are 23 guest artists and musicians on
Christmas Without You. All of these individuals donated their time and
talent to be part of this project. Several other people expressed an
interest in being part of the project, but we simply ran out of time. We
are overwhelmed by the generosity of all of these people.
The final All-Star line-up: Elisabeth von Trapp, Larry
Stewart, Larry Gatlin, Jimmy Fortune, Glen Campbell, Mike Campbell, Jimmy
Fulbright, Chris Golden, Paul Martin, Dee Allen, Jimmy Ponder, Mark
McCauley, Jeff Douglas, Don Carr, Ryan Pierce, Mike Radovsky, Erich Kory,
Fred Satterfield, Denis Solee, Pete Cummings,
Don Breland,

Ron Fairchild.
We also have a couple of very special guest appearances
on Jingle Bells. The Nannie
Berry Elementary
School’s 4th and 5th grade choirs from Hendersonville, Tennessee lend us
their vocals, March Martin gives us his thoughts and we’re graced with the
very first recorded performance of the Ban-Joey Bluegrass Band featuring Joe
Bonsall (Ban-Joey) on his Gibson Mastertone banjo.
