Pictures with Shadow

On June 9, 2006 we lost our beloved Shadow quite unexpectedly to cancer.

This is one of the last photos taken before she went into the surgery from which she never came back.

Shadow brought so much love and joy to our lives and for that we will be forever thankful.

Rest in peace dear, sweet Shadow.

The Sun Always Shines On You, written by Ron Fairchild for Shadow.

Shadow made her first trip to Jasper, Indiana on December 5, 2004.

Dad took her all around the campus for a nice long walk before the rains came.

November 2004, Shadow poses with the Christmas Without You Bear, Bonsai (the monkey) and her new friend, Little Buddy.

Yep, Shadow got her beard trimmed shorter this year.  She thought the new look would make her look younger.

Shadow ventures out back at the Little Nashville Opry, just soaking up those rays.

She was so happy she got to meet so many nice people and see her bubba, Jeremy, on his 25th birthday.

Shadow told Santa that all she wanted for Christmas was for her Daddy to be home.

Shadow got her wish. Christmas Eve night was spent out on Old Hickory Lake in one of our favorite coves.

Shadow is now 11 years old .  This is Shad with her Dad on her 10th birthday.

Enough with those pictures, whip out those Frosty Paws!

Ron takes Shadow sight-seeing through the big city of Brewton, Alabama.

What a photo op!

Mom and Shadow on the beach.

A little cool weather didn't keep us from going in the water.

Shadow's first trip to the Beach, too bad it had to be in January.  The bright side to that was having the beach pretty much to ourselves.

Shadow pretty much gets what she wants and she didn't want a haircut.

Shadow became quite ill and needed some fluids at the vet. After 4 hours she was able to come home and make a new fashion statement.

Three weeks later Shadow got even sicker. She spent 3 days in the doggie hospital  and we almost lost her. Daniel poses with Shadow, at her insistence.

This just hasn't been Shadow's year. After she recovered from her illness, she had to have surgery.  The vet removed 4 growths and sewed her up with pink stitches.

Three places were on her back, but you can see the one pink stitch on her head

Shadow loves her new "Beach Bum" t-shirt which was a gift from our neighbor Teresa to celebrate her tests results coming back positive with no cancer.

Aren't good neighbors the best!

House 2004.  Ron's getting some
keyboard lessons before the show.

Yep, thought you'd seen it all...

We've all heard, "nothing runs like a Deere" but they obviously haven't seen Shadow run every time this Deere gets fired up.

Let's just say that she's not going for another ride anytime soon.

Shadow’s second trip to the Kentucky State Fair. As you can tell, she's not spoiled at all.
